Jim Fierek

"Dance photography really excites me, it's difficult, beautiful, very rewarding and give me a personal accomplishment.   This series was photographed with a Medium Format Camera, then digitized and manipulated in a Digital Darkroom."

Jim Fierek manages Sweet Water Photo Studios, a Photography & Graphic Design Studio from his home in Togo, MN.

Raised in Grand Rapids, MN, he is the second son of R. James & Irene L. Fierke of Grand Rapids.

At age 10, he was given a Ziess Ikon 35mm camera that his uncle had purchased in Germany in the late 50's.

In middle school he was in photo club which really gave him a chance to explore from behind the lens.  The exploration continues with his dance project entitled "Flights of Fancy".  Originally photographed in the fall of 2000 and the spring/summer of 2001 in Dayton, OH.

Jim continues his style of photography throughout Minnesota, as he and his partner Marie Wanger photograph Weddings, Families, High School Seniors and Advertising assignments.
