What's the Difference?
Diverse Artistic Interpretations of a Single Subject
presented by the Elk River Area Arts Alliance

Welcome...

Quite simply, the "What's the Difference?" exhibit will humbly, playfully illustrate to you the creative process of twenty-eight interdisciplinary artists and consequently, honor the potency of their individuality.

Ranging geographically from Minneapolis to Saint Cloud and selected from a side variety of media, techniques and styles, our artists have created one work of art each, specifically for this show.  All of their works have been based on the same black and white photograph which was provided to them in September, 2001.  Each were asked to loosely base their piece on its image, given six months to complete their work.

This project is designed to demonstrate to you how these artists "see" the same thing differently and how they use their chosen medium to express that unique perspective.  In turn you will discover "the difference."
