Colored Pencil
From the Artist
Although trained as a painter, I have for
some years now been working mostly in colored pencil on paper. I like the directness
of the process, and the degree of precision and control it affords.
Most of these images derive from very mundane
objects one might find anywhere. I'm interested in the ambiguity achieved by looking
at a familiar or very ordinary thing in a new way, and in the somewhat uneasy place
between realism and abstraction
