Mark Valenti received his Master of Music from Northwestern University and has studied with such notable teachers as Benjamin Whitten, Zoltan Kocsis and Mary Sauer. He has performed across Europe in addition to the U.S., most notably for former First Lady Barbara Bush in Washington, D.C. His extensive work in the Jazz field includes performances with Gregory Hines, Frank Foster and Al Grey. Valenti’s performances illustrate the evolution of piano styles, from the elegant gracefulness of Classicism to the passionate lyricism of Romanticism through the atmospheric Impressionism of Debussy to the rhythmic percussiveness of Modernism.
