We are thrilled to announce the Reif Center's 2011-2012 Children's Performing Arts Series! The number of students attending live theater grows each year. Last year 7,000 students attended daytime performances at the Reif Center! We thank you for helping to make that possible. Students throughout our region deserve powerful and enriching opportunities to see quality performances.
These are daytime performances/workshops designed for K-12 students. Educational support materials have been developed for most performances to help you prepare your students for their experience at the Reif Center.
Ask about FREE BUSSING. New for 2011-2012 the Reif Center is hoping to provide funding that would offset teacher's travel costs. We are currently working to secure funds. Though nothing is certain yet, we are hopeful, so stay tuned...
If paying 1 wk. in advance: $6.00 per seat.

* Contact the Reif Center Box Office about an artist visit to your school/classroom.

- STEP ONE: Look through the list of performances, decide which shows you and your students want to attend, then make your wish list.
- STEP TWO: Estimate numbers. Please try to estimate as closely to the actual number as you can (this number must be the TOTAL of students and teachers/chaperones). This number is not set in stone, but by giving us your best estimate, you ensure that all schools have a fair chance at attending our events. Home schools and other groups are welcome!
- STEP THREE: Call us starting September 1st, 2011! The phone lines will open promptly at 8:30AM on order day. Availability is based 100% on a first come, first serve basis. WE WILL NOT, under any circumstances, reserve seats earlier than Sept. 1st at 8:30AM, so please respect the date and time. Our thanks in advance.
- STEP FOUR: Watch your mailbox! One month prior to each performance you signed up for, we will send an invoice with the number of students/staff you selected and the total amount due (we give a free chaperone seat for each 15 seats purchased). If you need to make adjustments to your number, please do so at this time. If you are dropping several students, please call to confirm the new amount due as the number of complimentary seats may need to be reduced, as well. If you are adding students (even just one), call first! Many times we are completely sold out!
- SEATING: We do receive some requests for seating charts to be sent prior to the performance, but too many last minute changes in student numbers makes this virtually impossible. We are often forced to create the charts right up until the last few minutes before the schools arrive! Please help! By getting your numbers in early, we can take more time to ensure that your class can have a shot at great seats. When all schools get their information to us in a timely manner, we have more time to accurately rotate the area in which schools sit from show to show. A fair warning - if your school makes last minute adjustments, we will be forced to seat you in the very back...it's nothing personal, just practical.
PLEASE CALL (218) 327-5780.
