Charles E. Alberti was born in 1945 in Chicago. From his early years he was involved in the visual and musical arts. He attended and earned a BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he completed his degree in 1969. He went on to earn a Ph.D. from Loyola University of Chicago in Foundations of Education with minors in Research and Philosophy. His artwork can be found in private, corporate and museum collections from the United States to Singapore. In 1988 he was awarded a certificate of excellence by the International Art Competition in in New York. For the past 30 years he and his family have lived in Bemidji, Minnesota where he taught at Bemidji State University until he retired as Professor Emeritus of Professional Education and Honors Program in 2007.
