Fab 6 is a joyfully sprawling musical tribute to the Beatles in their studio years (Sergeant Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, Abby Road) with a smattering of hit singles). But perhaps even more, it is a nod to George Martin (producer) and the lush arrangements that became so much a part of the Beatles studio sound.
Fab 6 believes that sound can best be brought to the audience’s ears through the use of the instruments that were originally used in the studio. Once you’ve heard the soaring magic of the piccolo trumpet solo of Penny Lane, the uplifting string quartet accompaniment of Yesterday and Eleanor Rigby, the clarion-call brass introduction of Magical Mystery Tour, you’ll never want to experience it any other way!
Paul Cassady (guitar, vocals); Jerry Gray (keyboards, producer); Gary Rue (guitar, Music Director);
Chad Magnuson (keyboard, reeds); Rusty Jones (bass); Tilly (drums)

Click here for complete detailsThe beloved Church Basement Ladies are back and getting busy with life outside the kitchen. Introducing “Church Basement Ladies: You Smell Barn,” the seventh installment in the popular Church Basement Ladies series.
The new show finally answers the burning question: What do Church Basement Ladies do when they’re not in the basement?
After the last of the hot dish is served, the coffee pot is emptied, and the JELL-O molds are put away, the steadfast, sturdy Church Basement Ladies head home to their farms, peel off their good girdles and get on with their daily chores. With plenty of crazy antics, loads of fresh laughs, and spanking new original songs, “Church Basement Ladies: You Smell Barn” celebrates rural life in the 1950s and introduces the other lovable folks who inhabit the rural community: Earl, who delivers the mail up and down Rural Route One; Fergus, the hired man; and Tillie, who chronicles the action for the Fish County Weekly. And, at the center of it all are everyone’s favorite Church Basement Ladies: Mavis (Greta Grosch), Vivian (Janet Paone), Karin (Dorian Chalmers), along with Pastor E.L. Gunderson (Tim Drake).
Produced by Curt Wollan, Troupe America, Inc., “You Smell Barn” is written by Greta Grosch, with music by Dennis Curley; lyrics by Greta Grosch and Dennis Curley; and inspired by the book Growing Up Rural: You Smell Barn by Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson.

What Would Judy Do?
Marjie Shrimpton invites you to forget your troubles and join her for a night inspired by the legendary Grand Rapids native, Judy Garland. Weaving stories and songs from Judy’s life and her own, throughout the evening Marjie will attempt to answer the big question: “What Would Judy Do” (or sing) if she were trying to chase our cares away in 2018? Directed and co-conceived by Michael Pesce, accompanied by Grand Rapids’s own Susan Hoolihan, and featuring local guests.
Marjie premiered What Would Judy Do? in January 2018 to a sold-out audience at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre in New York, NY. She received wide praise, earning a review from Cabaret Scenes Magazine saying, “Marjie Shrimpton stunned in her musical tribute to her hometown hero.” A Grand Rapids and Reif stage veteran herself, Marjie is beyond thrilled to bring this show back to her home theater!
